DAY 1   BRISBANE TO FRASER ISLAND We depart Brisbane in the morning on track for Fraser Island, arriving on the world's largest sand island in time for lunch. Discover the ancient rainforests, secluded beaches and many beautiful inland lakes which make Fraser Island world famous. You can also explore Fraser by 4WD - see Lake McKenzie, Wanggoolba Creek, Pile Valley, Seventy Mile Beach and many other places of natural beauty found on Fraser. Over night at the King Fisher Bay Resort.

DAY 2   FRASER ISLAND TO HERON ISLAND A morning departure out of Fraser sees us arrive on Heron Island in time for a full days diving. Heron is famous the world over for its unique and exciting dive sites - there are more than two dozen locations within a twenty minute cruise of Heron. There is also excellent snorkeling right off Heron's beaches, or you can take take part in any number of activities in and around the island. Over night at Heron Lodge.

DAY 3   FREE DAY HERON ISLAND Today can be as relaxing or as exhilarating as you want - you are on holiday after all! Complimentary activities include: guided reef, island ecology and birdlife walks, stargazing, movie nights, tennis and beach picnic hampers. Other tours and activities include: snorkeling and diving trips to the reef, fishing charters, scenic helicopter flights, sunset wine & cheese cruises and therapeutic massages. Over night again at Heron Lodge.

DAY 4   HERON ISLAND TO HAMILTON ISLAND A lunchtime departure from Heron gives you a chance for a sleep in and a lazy morning before the flight to Hamilton Island. Follow the stunning Queensland coastline for a little over an hour before the Whitsunday Group of Islands comes into view. We land on Hamilton Island in time for a swim before dinner. Over night at Hamilton Island Resort.

DAY 5   FREE DAY HAMILTON ISLAND Today you can continue to dive the Great Barrier Reef aboard one of Fantasea Cruises or H2O Sportz day boats, or discover the Whitsunday Islands and Whitehaven Beach on a private yacht. Other activities include: sea kayaking, game fishing, bushwalking, water skiing, golf at Laguna Quays Country Club or a spa treatment at Hamilton Island's Relaxation Centre. Over night again at Hamilton Island Resort.

DAY 6 HAMILTON ISLAND TO DUNK ISLAND TO CAIRNS An afternoon departure from Hamilton Island ensures ample rest for the flight to Cairns, the gateway to Australia's Tropical North. Along the way we stop at Dunk Island for refreshments and a chance to take some more photos. On arrival at Cairns there will be a private air-conditioned vehicle on the tarmac waiting to whisk you away to you 5-star accommodation over looking Palm Cove Beach.

DAY 7 THE DAINTREE RAINFOREST & CAPE TRIBULATION Today you may join one of the many day tours to the World Heritage Daintree Rainforest and/or Cape Tribulation available from Palm Cove. Stop in at the resort town of Port Douglas, beautiful Mossman Gorge, take a wildlife cruise up the Daintree River looking for crocodile, join a guided botanical walk through the Daintree National Park all enroute to Cape Tribulation Beach. Take a dip in the waters at Cape Tribulation where the rainforest meets the reef! Over night again in Palm Cove.

DAY 8   CAIRNS TO LIZARD ISLAND We depart Cairns this morning for a low-level flight to Australia's most exclusive destination - Lizard Island. This flight takes you over Port Douglas, the Daintree River & Rainforest, Cape Tribulation, Cooktown and the coloured sands of Cape Flattery. The snorkel/dive boat is waiting for arrival on Lizard to take you to the world famous Cod Hole dive site. Spend the rest of today snorkelling/diving the Cod Hole with massive potato cod, Maori wrasse, giant clams and white tip reef sharks. Accommodation tonight is at the luxurious Lizard Island Lodge.

DAY 9   FREE DAY LIZARD ISLAND Spend the day alone relaxing on one of Lizard's 23 secluded beaches, snorkel the famous Clam Garden reef (only metres from the shore), take a walk to the Blue Lagoon, relax under the Casuarina trees at Watson's Bay or keep busy and do all of the above. Today is yours to spend any way you wish. Over night again at Lizard Island Lodge.

DAY 10   LIZARD ISLAND TO CAIRNS We depart Lizard Island this morning for the final flight of the journey, low-level via the rainforets, wetlands and outback of the lower part of Cape York Peninsula, arriving back in Cairns around midday. We can transfer you to the Domestic/International side of the airport or back to your hotel where we shall bid you farewell. Time to develop the photos and relax knowing you've seen the best the Great Barrier Reef Islands have to offer.

Diving and Flying
Australia has strict rules concerning the combination of diving and flying to ensure passenger safety. The Great Barrier Reef Islands Tour described above ensures a minimum of 24 hours between all diving and flying activites.
